Today Is 02.20.18 Hmmmmm…

Hi Peeps,
Today is twos day. Two day is twos day two twenty twenty eighteen. I think I missed a couple punctuation marks back there. Let me write it with numbers instead of letters posing as numbers.
2day is 2’s day 02.20.2018.
I dunno. I was thinking that today’s date was significant for some reason but I can’t recall what that significance was. So instead today I would invite you all to significantly note my mother’s half birthday. Six months ago she turned the square root of four hundred and ninety years old. I think so… no wait maybe its the square root of four thousand and nine hundred years old. Is that right?  Ok the age she turned six months ago today might be better expressed in numerical jargon as the cube root of thirty four thousand three hundred years old.
Ummmm… can somebody go ask Star Trek? I gotta get to DAS
Watch this video shot by Cosmic Cameraman Grace Noel in the not so meantime will ya?

#Limitless Infinity Update w/ New Pix + Thoughts 4 Valentines Day

I always believed the Beatles when they would sing ‘all you need is Love…’
So I would say to people ‘All we need is more Love…’
(Yes I am a bit of a soft touch. Have you seen my glasses?)
But realistically regarding love I know that most folks probably feel more like –
Love is almost enough nearly 1/2 the time every other third Tuesday to meet their needs…

But Today is different. February 14 is St. Valentine’s Day.
Happy Birthday Hope D!
Valentine’s is the day on which even the ugliest of Hatebreed fans (redundancy?)
will allow themselves to think and believe that
Love Is The Answer…
without immediate spontaneous corporeal combustion.

So in that spirit please allow me to feed you some irrational fruits made with love this Valentines Day 2018.
More Limitless Infinity & Tiling On.

My goal was (and still is) to honor the life of John J. Campbell, a mentor and fellow artist who passed away in 2017, and also to provide aid and comfort to his widow Annie Campbell. I decided that painting, mounting and displaying 2000 tiles would be a beautiful way to honor John and his hyper prolific art output. Annie gave us some of John’s art supplies to start the memorial and we were off and painting last summer. After the tiles are painted they are curated and mounted on wood panel for first display only at the Aloft Hotel in downtown Denver on 15th and Stout. So many thanks to their amazing super friendly professional staff for all their support and help.

now see the chaos from which they emerge..

Am I Almost Finished Hand Painting Two Thousand Tiles? #LimitlessInfinity Update

Unfortunately there is really no easy way to know (without counting) exactly how many tiles I have painted thus far. My goal is to have 2018 tiles painted and ready for display by April 1, 2018. This date marks the one year anniversary of my friend and mentor artist John J. Campbell’s passing. As of Jan. 22 there are 67 days left to complete this monumental memorial.
If you would like to see some of the Tiles in person before April 1, head to the WXYZ Lounge inside the Aloft Hotel Downtown Denver. As I collate and mount the tiles on wood panel they are shown at the Aloft Hotel’s Limitless Infinity art show which will run through March 2018.

On Wednesday evenings Grace Noel and I come downtown to make art and interact with Hotel guests & any WXYZ Lounge patrons who want to get their artistic juices flowing. The public is welcome to hang out and paint a tile with us or just get a drink play some pool and hang out. Hope we see you one of these Wednesday nights at the Aloft Hotel on 15th & Stout!
