The MRDR Music Mission is an unironic sonic tonic hidden inside of a podcast. Every episode, or ‘Music Mission’ consists of 3 or 4 original songs written and performed by the artists who wrote and composed them. The tracks are each willfully selected (ear marked?) by MRDR and represent a wide variety of musical genres. The MRDR Music Mission artist cohort is populated by friends, colleagues and collaborators encountered over his 3+ decades of musical immersion at all levels in Colorado and around the country. When people hear the name of my/our/Matt’s musical duo is Tung & Gruv, they sometimes ask-
“Which one are you, Tongue or Groove?”
My answer: Both. I am Tung and I am Gruv. As is my Partner in Cacophony, M. Bassano. He is Tung and he is Gruv. We both sing and speak and shout! We both break the beats out! Nuff Said?
For the uninitiated/uninterested here’s a Tung & Gruv video playlist
Friday, September 18 is the date for Delight Night2. A variety show/concert which I am helping put on. It starts at 8 o’clock sharp with comedy from the Delight Night2 M.C., Louisiana native Larry Love. The venue is McDonough’s Irish Pub on Iliff just West of Havana st. and the 7/11. So have some free posters. You just have to pay printing costs if you want them to be physical posters. Hell, print a bunch to give to friends.
